World Cup in Brazil is set to start on 12th this month. 32 national teams will be fighting for the prestigious title as the best nation in football world. Big stage in Brazil is set, and so are we!
Here is a custom database that will enable you to simulate World Cup as it is (groups, teams, fixtures) in Football Manager 2014, and will give you an option to lead your nation as far as you can.
Basically, the game will start normally, but you'll have to enable custom edited data before loading up the game. There will be no qualification matches for nations that will participate in Brazil, but instead of these you will have the option to play friendly matches against other national selections.
Instructions on installing
Windows users, download > extract and move the file to:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2014\Editor Data
Mac users, download > extract and move the file to:
Macintosh HD\users\USERNAME\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2014\Editor Data
If editor data folder is not there, create one with this name only. Other names will not recognize the files inside the game.
Then open the game and click > Start a new game, a pop-up box will appear. Under the Database you have to choose either updated (14.3.0) or default one, and at the bottom there should be a small box > Editor Data Files, set this to Custom and hit Edit.
Make sure the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil box is ticked and then hit Confirm. It will take you to a new screen where you have to choose playable nations for your game, what for game to load and check out the FIFA World Cup 2014 competition in your FM 2014.
