Football Manager 2017 is out and same as every year we'll take a look together which young players aka wonderkids are the best at every position respectively. Our next stop - Defensive Midfield wonderkids.

First let me clarify who are wonderkid players. Wonderkid is a player that's under the age of 20 or 20 years old. They have a solid current ability and a high potential ability which can vary from 150 to 200 or in negative numbers where their potential ability will be randomly set for them by the game itself.

-9 potential ability means player will be given PA in a range from 150 to 180, whilst a -10 potential ability means player will be a true world class once he develops properly and will be given a PA from 180 - 200.

Every wonderkid in FM17 has a potential to become a world class player with the right guidance. By this I mean if you give him regular first team football either by sending him on a loan or playing him in your own team. Proper training and coaching staff is a must in order to develop any player labelled wonderkid into a world class player.

I've loaded all possible players from the game in order to give you the best selection possible, this means that you might not find some of them if you were to start your game with a normal or small database.
