Excellent news for all FM fans who have pre-purchased FM14 keys, Football Manager 2014 BETA version is available for download.

As promised by the Sports Interactive team, Football Manager BETA has been released. Two weeks before the full release that will officially go through on 31st October.

Same as it was with FM13, the BETA version will still have some minor issues that will be fixed by the full release. But the game will be very much playable, and you’ll have the option to progress your save games from BETA in the full release games.

If you however do come across any issues while playing the FM14 BETA release, do report them on the official SI forum, more specifically, the bugs forum.

Instructions for installation

If you already have a Steam account (which you will do if you played FM12 or FM13):

1. Log into your Steam account.
2. Click on "games", then "activate your product on Steam"
3. Type in your unique code
4. The download should start and you can see its progress
5. Once downloaded, click play

If you don't already have a Steam account:

1. Go to www.steampowered.com
2. Download the Steam client
3. Set up an account.
4. Start the Steam program (the instructions below are for use in Steam, not on the Steam website)
5. Click on "games", then "activate your product on Steam"

8. Once downloaded, click play
