Have we gone over the top by comparing Nael Maupay with the legendary Brazilian striker Ronaldo? Look at his development attributes as well as his career stats and you tell us we’re wrong.
Neal Maupay, is one of the best young strikers in Football Manager 2014, no doubt about it. But what’s most interesting about him, is the fact that he is fairly unknown OGC Nice’s U19 player. This is one of those must have players you’ll have to transfer in this version of Football Manager.
Remember Vaclav Kadlec, Haris Vuckic or Freddy Adu? Well they we’re all fairly unknown strikers that you just had to have in your team, cause they scored and scored. Same thing is with Neal. This lad is simply a goal machine!
Even his starting attributes at 16 years of age are fairly good for such young player. Although, we’d graded him with a decent grade for senior team at the start of the game, we had to give him a superb grade once he developed to his full potential.
Poacher who can score from long rage (19) and who will take your free kicks (19) and penalties (20) without mistake. But his strongest are of game is his Athleticism. His Physical attributes are simply out of this world. And this is the aspect of him that resembles to young Il Fenomeno.
If you wish to transfer him to your team, then it’s best to wait one or two seasons, so he gets some first team football at OGC Nice. Then you can swoop in and take their best young player for a price of £7.5M or somewhere near that number.
