Let's just start by saying patience and luck will play a big role in how much you pay for the 23-year-old attacker. He starts the 15/16 season on-loan at Villarreal from Atletico, of course this means you're not going to be able to sign him anytime soon, however, it gives you a good chance to scout him and, because he's a certain starter a Villarreal, gives him a good chance to develop.
Unless his performances for The Yellow Submarine are absolutely world-beating, it's likely he'll return to Atletico for the 16/17 season as nothing but a bit-part player. If this is the case, then it's very good news for you, as come January the Spanish giants will be looking to ship him out on another loan.
Now here comes the key bit of information, although Baptistao will be worth around £20 million by this point, his willingness to leave the club coupled with his lack of form means you should be able to agree a 12 month loan with a future fee of around £9.5-£12 million, as you can see below I got him for £10 million.
There's two reasons why this transfer is an absolute no brainer. 1) Baptistao is clearly a quality player and if he can hit the ground running - as he has every time I've tested this transfer out - you'll have signed yourself a potential match-winner. 2) If things don't go according to plan, Baptistao will still be worth around £15-20 million, meaning you can ship him on without making any loss.
