Football Manager 2021 New Features Video Breakdown
Let's try and see what the FM21 new features preview video revealed to us.
Finding your targets
There's now a recruitment meeting in which the staff members, such as Director of Football, will inform you on what player contracts are about to expire and on lack of depth for a specific role in your tactic.
Bid for Players
Bidding for a player on Football Manager is no new feature, but asking his agent for his availability definitely is!
Media Handling
It looks as media handling and talking to the press got a major overhaul, at least judging by the screenshot.
Perfect Your Tactics
It looks as if more pre-match advice from the staff awaits us in Football Manager 2021, as well as better preparation for match days.
Player Interactions
Introducing the manager's movement and player's body language in player interactions!
More Match Detail than Ever Before
xG added or Expected goals - basically states the quality of a shot, and the “likelihood” of the shot going in. So, sometimes, you’ll have teams win 2-1 with an xG of 0.31 compared to an xG of 2.76, showing how the losing team lacks clinicality.
Improved 3D Match Engine
Nice little chip by Tolisso in the 3D match engine footage in the new features preview video.
