Here's a list of 5 FM2021 players we expect to see atribute improvements in Football Manager 2021.
Football Manager is famous for gauging player potential and ability so much so that real clubs sometimes use the game engine as a means to scout players. The game is said to employ real-life scouts which makes gauging players more accurate.
Here are five players who were extremely impressive in the season 2019-2020 that they warrant a definite improvement in Football Manager2021.
1. Alphonso Davies
Bayern Munich turned heads when they signed a relatively unknown Canadian youngster from the MLS for a fee of around £20m. At the start of FM2020, Alphonso Davies was listed as a winger who could fill in as a left-back; however his performances for Bayern warranted an upgrade in stats and in the latest update of the game, Davies received quite a significant boost to his stats. However, the youngster went on to have a dream season with the club having won the domestic league, the champions league and UEFA super cup playing an instrumental role in the club’s success. Today he is rated as one of the best left-backs in the world and is one of the front runners for the UEFA 2020 Golden Boy award. We can expect a significant boost in the stats for Alphonso Davies in FM2021.
2. Serge Gnabry
The 2nd name of the list is Serge Gnabry, the teammate of Alphonso Davies. A few years ago, Gnabry was a reject from Arsenal and could not even break into the West Brom side. A few years on, he is one of the hottest prospects of German Football and is one of the instrumental reasons for Bayern’s dominance last year. Just like Davies, Gnabry did receive a decent stat boost during the latest update of the game. Still, his performances during the 2019-2020 season for club and country will see Gnabry have a significant increase to his numbers in the game and will be one of the most sought after inside forwards in the game.
3. Mason Greenwood
Mason Greenwood is already one of the best wonderkids in England in FM2020. However, he played a key role for Solskjaer and helped Man Utd finish in the top 4 last season. Having been categorized primarily as an Advanced Forward, Solskjaer predominantly used Greenwood as a Right inside forward, a role he excelled in. Greenwood, incidentally, is also one of the nominees for the European Golden boy award. His contributions of 10 league goals, all from open play for Man Utd will not go unnoticed and is expected for Greenwood to receive a boost in stats in the 2021 instalment of Football Manager.
4. Caglar Soyuncu
Caglar Soyuncu turned a lot of heads at Freiburg, but Leicester City eventually signed the promising centre-back. However, his first season did not exactly get off to the brightest of starts with the defender only making six league appearances for the club and was linked with several clubs on loan. However, he had a splendid 2019-2020 season becoming the backbone of the Leicester defence and is now sought after by several clubs. He was instrumental in Leicester pushing for a top 4 spot till the last day of the season and is expected to get an attributes boost in FM 2021.
5. Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Having DCL on the list is a recency bias but a necessary one. Ever since Ancelotti has taken over at Everton, Calvert-Lewin has been a force to be reckoned with. For the first time in his career, he reached double digits and scored 13 league goals in the 2019-2020 season and has started the 2020 season with a bang and has the most out of all players in the top 5 leagues of Europe. His FM2020 attributes don’t do justice to DCL, and he is one of the prime candidates to receive a significant attributes boost in the Football Manager 2021.
