Gvardiol joined Zagreb at the age of 10 and slowly worked his way up the ranks. A part of Guardian’s next-generation list, Gvardiol made his senior debut for Dinamo Zagreb in 2019.
He is the 6th youngest ever goalscorer for Dinamo Zagreb and drew interest from several European clubs during his time with the Croatian club. Leeds even had an offer accepted for the youngster but he chose to remain at the club to further aid his development.
