We bring you a list of teams from the Netherlands that you should consider as the next destination in your Football Manager 2021 career.
The Netherlands has historically been a great breeding ground for world-class players from Dennis Bergkamp to Johan Cruijff. The Big 3 of Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord have dominated the Eredivisie having won the title 34 times, 24 times and 15 times respectively.
FC Groningen
Robben is not the only player to have come through FC Groningen’s great youth facilities. In the current squad, Thomas Poll and Daniel Van Kaam are talented homegrown players. The club would like a top-half finish and you will get a budget of around 2.7 million pounds to do so
Utrecht
The gorgeous medieval city of Utrecht is located 30 miles from Amsterdam and is the home of FC Utrecht. The club has never won the league and have only managed to finished runners up way back in 1954. Utrecht have consistently been a midtable side in Eredivisie and are expected to finish as the best of the rest this season. With the board only asking for a top half finish this objective should be attainable.

The squad has some good players. The club’s star player is pacy winger Gyrano Kerk meanwhile Simon Gustafson is a useful playmaker and Tommy St Jago is an interesting prospect at the back who has come through Utrecht’s great youth system. Use these youth facilities to your advantage to build a team to ultimately challenge for the league
FC Twente
Now back in the Eredivisie, the board has ambition and wants the club to fight against relegation in the first season and then in the second season become a top-half team. To achieve these aims, you will have a transfer board of over 3 million pounds. FC Twente have a very young squad although many of those players are at the club on loan. Joel Drummel is a very good goalkeeper, Wout Drama is a leader in midfield and Bosnian international Dario Dumic is strong at the back,
ADO Den Haag
ADO Den Haag have an interesting squad which includes some former wonderkids. The first of which is Ravel Morrison who Sir Alex Ferguson called the best player he had ever seen at age 16. However, he has had a journeyman career which led him to play in six different countries without ever really showing off his talent. Can you get him firing at Den Haag?
Also, at the club is former Ajax youngster Ricardo Krishna who is one of the best players at the club. Krishna is very creative winger who you should build your attack around. Avoiding a relegation battle should be possible with players at hand coupled with good training facilities and great youth facilities.
RKC
RKC are serious relegation candidates as they are predicted to finish bottom of the league. After gaining promotion back to the Eredivisie in 2019, RKC Waalwijk were at the foot of the table when the Eredivisie was declared null and void and so avoided relegation. The 2019/20 season included an 8-match losing streak. Getting RKC up the table will be a challenge.

The squad is not the best but is led by one-time Dutch international Ola John meanwhile Greek goalkeeper Kostas Lamprou will be busy between the sticks. RKC have a very small wage budget and only a tight transfer budget. But, despite these restrictions, the RKC Waalwijk board want you to play entertaining football. Can your Tiki Taka keep them up?
