To help you find the best games to enjoy and the most gratifying experiences, be sure to try some – or all – of these clubs. Each stand at various points in the football pantheon, offering different experiences and ideas from one another. In this article, we will look at managing Parma today.
What is Parma’s history?
They were a non-entity in the Italian game until a takeover seen the club build up a fantastic squad in the 1990s, competing to win the UEFA Cup twice, the UEFA Cup Winners Cup, and also three Copa Italia titles. They even competed for the Italian top-flight. However, recent years have bene more to do with relegation and combatting relegation than fighting for trophies.
What is Parma’s objectives and finances?
The objective is quite simple for Parma in your first season – get promoted. The club was relegated in the 2020-21 season, finishing bottom. They currently have Enzo Maresca as coach, and a few transient squad that has a lot of players moving on. That said, you are expected to get promoted with relative ease as Parma kept some of their better players.
You will need to box clever, though, with much work to be done to build a team that is good enough to thrive in Serie B never mind the top flight. However, the fact you have some excellent talent like Franco Vazquez and Roberto Inglese means you have players who could easily be in the league above. There is enough ability in this Parma team to do well, but you will have precious little funds to add to your first team at least until you get promoted.
Who are the best players at Parma?
As mentioned above, you have some good players in the first season. Most recognisable of course is Gigi Buffon, the legendary keeper who returned back to Parma this season.
In terms of younger players, the highly rated Dennis Man is part of your team and he is someone who you should look to give as many games as possible. He could be a game-changer for your team, and if allowed to develop properly he could become a key player who you could sell.
