Fabricio Bustos – Independiente

At around £14.5m, Fabricio Bustos is a fine addition for any club in Europe’s B to C tier of clubs. A versatile defender with excellent on-pitch awareness, he would make a fine addition for any team building to compete. He is young enough that he could improve, too, giving you a much more satisfying choice years down the track.

He also makes a good player who could contribute to anyone outside of the true elite within his first season of arriving, too.

 

Francisco Ortega – Velez

Velez Sarsfeld are a club with a proud history of player production, but they are by no means well-off. This means many of their better players are snapped up for cheap fees, and at around £8.5m you could land the impressive Ortega. He is an attack-minded left-back and could be a good choice for just about any team outside of the true elite.

Perhaps if you are looking for a back-up at the highest level, too, he could be worth trying out as part of your squad.

Josua Meijas – Beitar Jerusalem

While Venezuelan football might not be known for its army of young stars, 24-year-old central defender Josua Meijas is one that any team in Europe should at least think about speaking to. He plays for Beitar Jerusalem in Israel and could be available for a few as low as £3m.

He would make a great choice for any team in the top five leagues outside of the elite who want a solid option in defence. For any team in the Copa Libertadores, too, he would make a wise investment.

 

Filip Ugrinic – Luzern

At just £2.5m, this midfielder would offer you a player who you could expect to compete in your first-team from arrival. Unless you manage a continental giant who is simply buying up players to loan out, then you could see Urginic as part of your first-team picture from the moment he arrives.

The fee is relatively small, too, making him a player well worth thinking about as you try to build up a list of future signings. He needs work, but he could be an excellent choice for sure.

Nicolas de la Cruz – River Plate

A Uruguayan utility man with excellent technical ability and goal scoring prowess, de la Cruz could be bought for just under £16m. His form at River will largely dictate who he will talk to, but just about any club in the big five leagues in Europe as well as contenders in leagues like Holland and Portugal should be capable of pulling this one off.

A highly impressive player with no shortage of quality, de la Cruz would make a fine pick-up to build a new midfield around.

 

Facundo Torres – Penarol

This is a player who looks set to move to MLS in real-life, but at around £20m could be a wise investment for any top club. He would be a huge risk for a club without the money to gamble on, though, as at 20 he has only really shown his quality in the Uruguayan league. Despite the number of quality players in the Uruguayan system, not all of them make it at the top.

A high potential rating paired with some excellent raw attributes, though, make him worth considering certainly.

Hidemasa Morita – Santa Clara

With around £8.5m to get this midfielder out of his current team, you are taking a bit of a gamble for a player who is already 26 years of age. However, the midfielder has shown excellent form first in the J League and now as part of the Santa Clara team in Portugal.

A bit of a gamble, sure, but a player that we believe would be worth taking that gamble for if you are flush.

 

Lucas Orellano – Velez

At around £6.75m, Orellano is the kind of exciting young attacker that you could take a gamble on. He has shown a lot of impressive quality in his early years, and at 21 looks set to move on to one of the bigger clubs sooner rather than later. Though he is hardly a prolific forward, you could easily improve upon that and make him a more reliable all-around option.

It should not take much, as Orellano has so much to his game; pace, technique, and impressive composure.

Roberto Torres – Osasuna

Though he is now 32, Torres offers a solid level of value for money if you want someone reliable and consistent. He can provide a good level of experience and, at around £8.5m, would offer either excellent squad balance or a good option to build around for a lesser but well-off club.

He might not provide you with a long-term option in the squad for years to come, but he will offer an excellent overall option.

 

Nemanja Radoja – Levante

A solid and reliable midfielder, around £8.5m could land you the impressive and experienced international. A fine player with a great reading of the game, Radoja could be relied upon to add a bit of extra grit to any midfield. Outside of the very top clubs, this is a player who could be trusted to help add a bit of extra steel and also to make smart use of the ball. If your team is in a ‘big’ league and needs an experienced ball-playing holding midfielder, Radoja is a good shout.
