We have some pretty awesome player changes in the FM22 winter update database. To help you build a new team in a new save on the updated database, we have put together a list of what we consider to be the best Forwards in this new edition of the FM 22 database. So, what are the best Forwards that you could sign ahead of the 2021-22 season?

Who should you be on the lookout for if you want to transform your team and fulfil the dreams of your supporters?

 

Jota – Celtic

Currently, on loan at Glasgow Celtic, Benfica wonderkid Jota is one worth keeping an eye on. He has been one of the most impressive players in Europe this year, and has enjoyed a nice bump in his stats in the recent update. Though you need to wait for his Celtic spell to end, Jota is definitely a player who you could agree to sign if you wanted to.

Someone who could definitely play in the best leagues in Europe, Jota is a pure creator who can dribble and attack teams for fun. Definitely a young player to add to any list of the best young forward, and someone who you should keep a very close eye on as he develops. Maybe no suited to the elite teams in the first season or two, but a long-term player to look into if your team lacks flair, creativity, and/or pace.

Pione Sisto – FC Midtjylland

Having went back to Denmark at the tender age of 26, Pione Sisto is still a remarkable young talent worth looking into. He might not have hit the heights as some would have hoped for in Spain, but you could give him a second bash at the big leagues for a small-ish price. Sisto has excellent all-around ability and is a real livewire, but your main aim should be trying to improve his consistency.

At 26 he has more than enough time to improve again, and you could tap into that coaching quality of yours to add more consistency to his game. When he gets it right Sisto is a naturally exciting player with tremendous overall game smarts.

Add him to your list, and see if you can get him to finally make good on that immense latent potential that exists in both of his feet.

Andrija Zivkovic – PAOK

Dubbed as a mega star of the future, things have not quite worked out that way for Andrija Zivkovic so far in his career. A highly talented player, Zikkovic has excellent technical ability and could be a good choice on either wing for you. He is someone who would be a great choice for most teams, though he is arguably going to be at his best if you can get him a more free, floating role.

He can play all across attacking midfield, though, and his technical quality makes him a player that it would be hard to ignore. Zivkovic should be someone who you add to your list of talents to evaluate for sure, and with an asking price of likely under £10m he is worth a punt for most teams in the top-flight leagues. An excellent performer with no shortage of ability in either feet.

 

Nico Lopez – Tigres

A little like the above, Nico Lopez was deemed to be aiming for greatness before his career somewhat derailed. An early move to AS Roma was a mistake, but the Uruguayan has remade his name in Brazil and now in Mexico. At his peak years at 27, you could get Lopez for a vey fair price and include him as part of your team in the long-term. A very exciting player with good natural pace and finishing, he can play across the front line and offer a reliable, versatile option for any team.

He might be hard to sign for teams outside of European contention, but he would make a great addition for any side in that line of work. Definitely one to look towards if you want to great a player who is in their prime years but could still do with a little bit of development.

Patrik Schick – Bayer Leverkusen

Arguably the best player in Europe not to play in a genuinely elite side, Patrik Schick is a worthwhile watch. The Czech made his name in Italy before moving to Germany, and his time at Leverkusen has been prolific to say the least. He is comfortably the most expensive name on this list, but his also the most likely to guarantee a steady stream of goals.

Schick is a natural finisher with great athleticism, pace, and technique. Add in the fact he is in his prime years, and he is the final piece of the puzzle for many players. An all-around player who could work as well up front on his own, in a pairing, or on one of the wings. An elite option if you are a team competing for top-five leagues and UEFA Champions League spots, such is the ability that Schick brings to the table.

Gianluca Scamacca – Sassuolo

You have no doubt heard of the giant Italian scoring goals from all angles this year. Thankfully, FM22 has not yet given Scamacca the ‘Haaland treatment’ and he is still available to sign. The big Italian has made a name for himself this year with Sassuolo, and now looks very likely to leave for an elite Italian side in the years to come. Definitely one that we would recommend moving for in the first window before one of the giants of the domestic game snap him up.

Talented yet with excellent power and physical attributes, Scamacca is the ideal target man to play off. He has the ability to make his own chances, create for others, and to bully defenders. A great pick-up, and one of the best deals you could make if you can get him for a price befitting an Italian international.
