About Inter
Internazionale or Inter Milan are a professional football club that ply their trade in the Serie A. They have the record of being the only Italian club to never have been relegated from the top flight.
Inter has won 32 domestic trophies, including 19 league titles, 7 Coppa Italia and 6 Supercoppa Italiana. From 2006 to 2010, the club won five successive league titles, equalling the all-time record at that time. They have won the Champions League three times: two back-to-back in 1964 and 1965 and then another in 2010. Their latest win completed an unprecedented Italian seasonal treble, with Inter winning the Coppa Italia and the Scudetto the same year. The club has also won three UEFA Cups, two Intercontinental Cups and one FIFA Club World Cup.
Inter's home games are played at the San Siro stadium, which they share with local rivals A.C. Milan. The stadium is the largest in Italian football with a capacity of 80,018. Matches between A.C. Milan and Inter, known as the Derby Della Madonnina, are one of the most followed derbies in football. As of 2019, Inter is the most supported team in Italy and the sixth most supported in Europe. The club is one of the most valuable in Italian and world football.
Inter are the defending champions of the Serie A breaking their 10-year league drought. The board requirements once you take over will be;
· Be in the top 4 of the Serie A (Automatic UCL Qualification)
· Reach the final of the Italian Cup
· Make the knockout stages of the UEFA Champion’s league.
Additionally, you will be required to sign high reputation players, especially Italian players from rivals. The focus is also on signing youngsters under the age of 19 for the future.
Inter have very good training facilities and a very good youth system that will churn out the occasional potential star player. You can rely on this to make the club achieve their targets and circumvent the FFP.
Squad, Formation and Tactical Style
A fluid counter-attacking system or wing play is what suits the Inter’s set of players the best. This will help them take advantage of their wing backs and have them released for quick counters. Their strikers also thrive on crosses from the wing backs.
A 3-5-2 is how inter line up in real life is probably the best suited formation for this squad of players. It also innately plays to the players strengths of crossing and releasing the strikers early. Alternatively, you can use the 4-3-3 formation too.
A rough example of what your line-up would look like in a 3-5-2 formation is as follows;
Samir Handanovic as a regular keeper.
Stefan De Vrij, Andrea Bastoni & Milan Skriniar as the 3 centre backs. De Vrij to be played centrally as a ball playing defender while Skrinar and Bastoni to be played as wide centre backs.
Denzel Dumfries & Ivan Perisic as the 2 wing backs. Both are naturally attacking players who love to get forward and contribute to attacks.
Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic & Hakan Calhanoglu as the 3 central midfielders with Barella playing as a Mezzala, Brozovic as a box to box midfielder and Calhanoglu as a deep or roaming playmaker.
Lautaro Martinez & Edin Dzeko as the 2 men upfront with Dzeko playing as a deep forward or a target man while Martinez plays as a pressing forward.
Alternatively, when you switch to a 4-3-3 you can go with Sanchez playing as one of the wingers.
Martinez, despite being just 23 is one of the most established strikers in the world and in the game. Several clubs are after the player and retaining him will be crucial in achieving favourable results for managers who aspire to take over.
Milan Skriniar
One of the best central defenders in the game, Skrinar is a rock in defence. He is also a massive goal threat from set piece situations and is one of the most important players for Inter.
Marcelo Brozovic
The Croatian midfielder is the engine for Inter with his tireless running and imperious work rate. He is one of the outfield players with most minutes for Inter over the last 5 seasons and is crucial to achieving favourable results with the club.
Stefan De Vrij
Another top defender, De Vrij was one of the key reasons for Inter winning the title last season. He has been named in the Serie A team of the year twice and has won the league's defender of the year once.
Youth Prospects
Sebastiano Esposito
Esposito is one of the best Italian wonderkid strikers in the game and goes on to become one of the most lethal players in the game. Managers would do really well to hold on to him as interest is very high from other clubs.
An attacking midfielder by trade, Iliev is believed to be the best Bulgarian talent of his generation. He was named in the Guardian's Nxtgen 2021 and with the right mentoring could become an elite player at the club.
Martin Satriano
Considered as the next Luis Suarez, Satriano has the ability to become one of the game's top strikers. Given the right circumstances, he can become a goalscorer par excellence for Inter.

· You run the risk of some talents being poached by other clubs, especially in search of higher wages.
· Finances are not in the best position and you may end up being forced to some of your best players.
