Netz was a youth product of Hertha, having joined the club in 2010. Working his way up the ranks, Netz made his senior debut for the club in January 2021. At the end of the season, despite the approach from a couple of top tier teams, including Man City, Netz decided to join Borussia Monchengladbach and has been in and around the first-team squad since.
