An interesting FM22 challenge in which you will have to win everything in your path, but you
will only be able to manage teams with the same name.
1. Arsenal (3 clubs playable in FM22)
For an Arsenal-only save, you will have to load up the following 3 countries (top leagues only): Argentina, England, and Russia. Where you start it’s up to you, but we suggest either Russia or Argentina, where you will take charge of Arsenal Tula or Arsenal de Sarandi. Whatever your first choice is, the challenge is to win the national title with both clubs and make an impact in the continental cups in both South America and Europe, building up your reputation. To complete this challenge, you will have to land the job at Arsenal in the English Premier League and win the title and a European Cup with the Gunners.
2. Red Bull/Red Bulls/RB (3 clubs playable in FM22)
It might not be the same name word for word (or letter for letter), but it’s the same thing. The Red Bull challenge will take you from the US to Austria, then Germany (top leagues only). Our pick for your first club would be the New York Red Bulls. Win the MLS and hop over to Europe, where you should get the job at FC Red Bull Salzburg. Winning the Austrian League should be an easy objective for the club that has dominated the country over the past 15 years, so your real challenge here should be to get your hands on a European Cup. While the Champions League would be a bit of a stretch (we’re saving this one for your final club), aim at the Europa League or even the Conference League. Once you finish your job in Salzburg, it’s time to move to Germany, at RB Leipzig. Your objectives here are clear, and you have all the resources to achieve them: turn RB into the new German giant – create a dynasty in the Bundesliga (win several back to back titles) and win the Champions League.
3. Rapid/Rapids (3 clubs playable in FM22)
Another challenge that will take you from North America to Europe. Load up the top leagues in Romania and Austria, plus the MLS. It’s completely up to you where you will start this save, but remember, you will have to manage the entire trio: Colorado Rapids, Rapid Bucharest, and Rapid Wien. The goal is to win the national title with each of them. Bonus points if you manage to win a continental trophy!
4. Liverpool & Everton (2 clubs – each – playable in FM22)
Actually, two separate but similar challenges will take you from South America to the English Premier League. For the Everton save, you will have to start with Everton de Viña del Mar in Chile with the goal of winning the Primera (at least twice) and the Libertadores or/and Sudamericana Cups, before packing your suitcase and moving to Merseyside at Everton, where your objective is to win the Premier League. Similarly, the Liverpool save will see you take control of Liverpool Fútbol Club in Uruguay, win the Primera and the Libertadores or/and Sudamericana Cups, and move to Anfield where, besides winning the Premier, you should also aim to conquer the European Cup.
5. Dynamo/Dinamo (7 clubs playable in FM22)
A Central-Eastern European challenge, with an American twist, represents the longest and most interesting save on this list. It will take you across 7 countries with very different league systems and specifics. Start your game by loading up the top leagues in Belarus, Croatia, Germany (2. Bundesliga also), Romania, Russia, Ukraine, and the USA. The best place to start your career would be Belarus, the lowest reputation league in this challenge, where you have two options: Dynamo Brest and Dinamo Minsk, two of the best clubs in the country. Win the league and move on to your next Dinamo. Our suggestion at this stage would be either Bucharest or Zagreb. Choose wisely because the two are in total opposite circumstances. While Dinamo Zagreb is arguably the best club in Croatia, and you won’t have much trouble winning the league, Dinamo Bucharest has regressed in recent years from a Romanian giant to a bottom-half team, mostly due to bad administration and poor finances. This means that you would have to probably spend more time in Bucharest, building a title-winning team. Anyway, after crossing Bucharest and Zagreb from your list, it’s time to move again. If you’ve built up enough reputation, you might be able to get the job at Houston Dynamo in the MLS. Guide the “Orange Crush” to another MLS Cup win as quickly as you can because you have unfinished business in Europe. At this point, you will have 3 more clubs to manage, the order is up to you, and your final goal is to win the national titles with each of them, and at least one European Cup with any of the following three: Dynamo Dresden (found in the 2. Bundesliga at the start of the game, but might change divisions until you get a chance to manage them, so plan carefully), Dynamo Kyiv, and Dynamo Moscow.
6. Inter (3 clubs playable in FM22)
The final entry on this list, this tri-continent challenge, will see you starting your career at Beckham’s newly founded franchise, Inter Miami CF. After winning the MLS and the CONCACAF Champions League, you will move South, from Florida to Brazil, where you will take charge of Sport Club Internacional (Inter de Porto Alegre), where you will have to really up your game and get your hands on several major trophies such as the Brazilian Serie A and the Copa Libertadores. While building up your manager rep in Brazil, keep an eye out for the Internazionale (Inter Milan) job and take charge of the Nerazzurri when you get the chance. To complete this challenge, you have to win the Italian Serie A and the Champions League with the third Inter of your career. It’s worth mentioning that there’s a fourth playable Inter, Inter Turku, in Finland, but the low league and club reputation makes it difficult to fit the Finnish side in this challenge along with the other 3 more prestigious clubs.
Notable mentions
There are plenty of other options for this type of save, such as Iraklis (Greece) – Heracles (Netherlands) – Hercules (Spain), clubs named after the famous mythological figure; Spartak, Lokomotiv, or CSKA in Eastern Europe (found in Moscow, Trnava, Sofia, Plovdiv); two Sparta (Rotterdam and Prague); Chernomorets/Chornomorets (meaning the Black Sea) in Bulgaria and Ukraine; two River Plate in Argentina and Uruguay; just to name a few, without even mentioning City, United, Wanderers, Rovers, Rangers, etc. found across English speaking countries. What other examples of clubs with the same name do you have in mind?
