Kjaergaard started his youth career with Lyngby in Denmark before moving to Leifering in 2019, a feeder club of Salzburg. Kjaergaard was moved to RB Salzburg in 2020 but played a very active role in their 2021-2022 campaign. He is very much an important member of the first team squad now and is looking to make his mark both in the domestic and continental competitions. He is yet to make his senior debut for Denmark but has represented the nation at several junior levels.

Kjaergaard is one of the best Danish wonderkids in FM 2022. He is very well-rounded and can become an elite player in many saves.
In the auto-generated save, he has spent 8 out of the 10 seasons at RB Salzburg and had become one of the most important players at the club. His time with Salzburg is riddled with personal and team accolades, with Kjaergaard winning multiple trophies and individual awards. Interestingly, he has not moved from the Austrian Bundesliga until 2029-2030, when he joined Brighton in the Premier League. Although his first season with Brighton was underwhelming, he has scored an impressive 12 league goals and contributed 6 assists in the last season of the autosave.
