The club are also blessed with very good training facilities and a good youth setup that churns out the occasional star. However, you will need to improve the facilities and youth recruitment to be able to compete with the best in the league.
Squad, Formation and Tactical Style
Under Arteta, Arsenal have had a revival of sorts and have performed exceedingly well this season, defying the expectations of even the most faithful. We can look to mimic that tactic in the game to achieve the best results, which also suits this set of players the best.
The best tactic to use for Arsenal in the game is the vertical tiki-taka and switch to more of a counter-attacking style of play for difficult away fixtures. The most suited formation for the club will be the 4-2-3-1.
A rough example of what your line-up would look like in a 4-2-3-1 formation is as follows;
Aaron Ramsdale as a sweeper keeper
Ben White & Oleksandr Zinchenko as a fullback and wingback, respectively.
William Saliba & Gabriel as the 2 central defenders. Since both are comfortable on the ball they can be used as ball-playing defenders.
Thomas Partey & Granit Xhaka make up the 2 man midfield with the former playing as a ball winning midfielder and the latter as a box to box midfielder.
Martin Odegaard plays as an advanced playmaker in a No10 role.
Gabriel Martinelli & Bukayo Saka on the left and right wings respectively operating as inside forward and an inverted winger.
Gabriel Jesus as a lone forward in a Pressing Forward or a deep-lying forward role.
Key Players
The Arsenal squad has a lot of talented players who are capable of winning games on their day. However, the best of them are,
Gabriel Jesus
Jesus is the new summer signing for Arsenal and has hit the ground running in real life. His industry and capability up front could be crucial for managers in achieving favourable results.
Martin Odegaard
The most creative player in the Arsenal team, Odegaard is a technically gifted player. His ability to create chances and feed the goalscorers will be vital in having a good season with the club.
Bukayo Saka
The 20-year-old winger is already one of the most important players at the club and plays a key role for England as well. He has all the traits to become one of the biggest legends Arsenal has ever produced.
Youth Prospects
There are a lot of exciting young prospects in the ranks or on loan who have the potential to be some of the best players in the league. A few examples are;
1. Miguel Azeez
The central midfielder is considered as one of the brightest young talents at the club and in the future has the ability to become a key part of the side.
2. Charlie Patino
Currently, on loan at Blackpool, people have already seen a glimpse of what Charlie Patino has to offer. He has the potential to become a top player for Arsenal in the future.
3. Mika Biereth
The young Danish striker has already turned several heads with his performances for the Arsenal U21s. He has the ability to be a top goalscorer for the club in the future.
Weaknesses
Despite having a stronger squad than many other competing league sides, Arsenal are not without their share of weaknesses.
• This is a very young squad, and it can take a few years for the players to reach their prime.
• There is a massive drop in quality after the first team, especially in crucial positions, which means that injuries to key players can wreak havoc to the entire season.
