China Data Update for Football Manager 2023 is out now, featuring over
83,000 changes, gameplay fixes, and editor improvements.
The much-awaited China Data Update for Football Manager 2023 is finally available across all platforms*. This standalone release, which came later due to the extended Chinese transfer window, brings more than 83,000 database changes to the game.
Key changes in the 23.5 update include:
- Resolved the 'Add/Remove Leagues' issue that added newgens instead of real players
- Fixed editor file verification issues in FM23 Editor
- Addressed Versus mode import issues in FM23 Console
Updating the game
Most updates should download automatically, but manual checks may be needed for some platforms. Check for updates on your respective platform if the update doesn't occur automatically.
For Xbox users, manually check for updates by hovering over the Football Manager 2023 Console, pressing the menu button, navigating to 'Manage Game and Add-Ons', and selecting 'Updates'.
On PS5, to check for updates, highlight a game thumbnail on your games home, press the options button to open the menu, and choose 'Check for Update'. If available, follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.
Apps downloaded from the App Store on iPhone and iPad devices are automatically updated by default. If you encounter any issues, you can update the app manually.
For Android users playing FM23 Mobile, the game should update automatically. To update manually, open the Google Play Store app, tap the profile icon, then select 'Manage Apps and Device'. Apps with available updates are marked 'Update available'.
