Discover the best Scottish prospects in FM24 and shape them into footballing legends.
Scotland is a country with a rich footballing history. With the club who won Britain’s first European Cup; the last club to defeat Real Madrid in a European final; and a track record of producing some of Britain’s greatest ever players. While the national team are enjoying something of a resurgence in recent years, the question remains for Scottish fans: when will Scotland finally produce the next Dalglish, Law, or Bremner? This article will list the best Scottish prospects in FM24, the players who you can develop into Scotland’s next great hopes.
A 17-year-old striker from Aberdeen, Bavidge is a textbook advanced forward for FM24. His finishing, anticipation and pace attributes are already very promising - particularly for his tender age. The next step with Bavidge will be to ensure to develop his mental attributes, and to continue working on his finishing. Allowing him to continue his loan at Kelty Hearts is a must, but from the second season onwards his development is in your hands.
Another prospect with blistering pace, Jay Henderson already has the tools to be a devastating wide option for a lower-Premiership side in Scotland. His crossing and dribbling compliment this nicely, and his preference to knock ball past opponents help to make him an excellent traditional winger. At 20 years old, he’s a little one-dimensional, but if you can add another facet to his game you’ll have an incredibly effective option on the wing for your side. He won’t be cheap however, he’s just signed for Ross County from St Mirren.

It’s been some time since we’ve associated Scotland with mercurial playmaking number 10s. And yet, that’s exactly what Josh Adam is. He’s superb in possession, with high vision, flair, passing and decisions. With the right training, he’ll be the heartbeat of your attack. He’s also not that highly rated by Man City, and should be available for less than £2m. While his physical gifts leave a lot to be desired - I’m particularly concerned by his lack of stamina - if you can help him develop that side of his game while accommodating his obvious technical gifts, you’ll have a truly great playmaker for your side.
If you prefer your playmakers deep-lying, Marc Leonard of Brighton is your man. An incredibly gifted passer, with the vision and decisions to make the most of it, he’ll sit nicely as a pivot and dictate play. I personally love his traits as well, he’s well suited to a possession-oriented system and will play some beautiful football for your side. I might want his tackling to be a little better to play as a DM, but he’s got all the tools to dominate your midfield. Brighton also have high hopes for him, so he’ll set you back up to £10m, but for a 21 year old CM with his potential, it’s more than worth it.

Conclusion
While Scotland have been enjoying a renaissance in international football in recent years, there’s no reason for this not to continue. While most FM players are already aware of talented players such as Aaron Hickey, Josh Doig, Nathan Patterson who have all made their mark on the English Premier League, the list of players above may be currently flying under the radar of most FM players. I hope you’ve found this list useful, and look forward to bringing out the best of what Scotland has to offer on FM24.
