He knows that „Zidane trick“, he is only twenty years old and he is the big prospect of Czech football, and after great performances in the 2015/2016 season in Czech First Division and Czech Under 21 national team he is wanted for example by AS Roma. Who is he? Patrik Schick.
Patrik Schick is an academy graduate of AC Sparta Prague, and he was born on 24 January 1996. He played in Sparta’s youth categories, and he scored 22 goals in 29 matches during the 2013/2014 season during his spell with the Under 19 squad.
He was often praised by youth coaches of Sparta and Czech national teams as well. He plays for national teams from the Under 16 category. He made his debut in the Czech First Division in May 2014 when he was 18-years old and won the Czech First Division with Sparta that year.
He made this during a league match against Olomouc, and more than fifteen thousand fans applauded him for it.
In September 2014, he made his European debut when he played in Europa League against SSC Napoli in the Group Stage. He made big progress during the last season, 2015/2016. He went to Bohemians Praha 1905 for a one-year loan spell, and he played 27 league matches, scored eight goals and made three assists.
He is left-footed, 187cm high striker with great technique, and he is great in one-on-one situations. Patrik is also a key player of the current Czech Under 21 side. He scored 8 goals in 7 matches during this EURO Under 21 Qualification. Thanks to his very good performances this season, he is wanted in Europe, there is an interest from AS Roma.
He will come back to the Sparta squad before the 2016/2017 season, where he has a contract for one another year. He is in a contract extension with the club as well.
In Football Manager 2016, he is a very good young striker for countries like Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Poland or France. I would play him as an Advanced Forward, which is his best-rated role alongside the Target Man role. I don’t play with the Target Man role, so I would definitely use Advanced Forward.
Every time I played for Sparta (also in FM15), I let him play in starting XI despite his age because he always developed into a key member of the squad, and he moved to a bigger club every time.
I would certainly instruct him Anticipation as an Off The Ball in training, and I would set him to „Challenge Keeper“ position in Corner kick routines.
When you start a new save in FM16, Patrik will be on-loan in Bohemians Praha 1905 from Sparta Prague. His contract is until 6/2016, so if Sparta does not renew his contract during the first season, he will be available for free.
